These raw oysters named Pinctada margaritifera variety cumingii.
Margaritiferae designation comes from the Latin “margarita” designating both the Treasury and the Pearl.
These mother of pearls are essentials to the presentation of the cultured pearl of Tahiti, to justify the use of this family oyster in cultured pearl production.
